2024-25 Volunteer Grant Opportunity

The 2024-25 Volunteer Grants are now open for expressions of interest.

These volunteer grants are between $1,000 and $5,000 to help community organisations to support the efforts of Australia’s volunteers.

The grants can be used to:

• Purchase communication or insurance items that will benefit an organisation’s volunteers.
• Purchase items or services that support an organisation's eligible volunteers.
• Purchase items or services that assist in the delivery of eligible volunteer run activities.

It’s important to note that these grants are only available for items or services that directly benefit the work of a volunteer or the participation of volunteer run activities.

Expressions of Interest will close on Friday, 24 January 2025 and should be submitted via this online form.

Youth Empowerment Grants Program

Applications are open for the new Youth Empowerment Grants Program.

These grants are between $300,000 to $1 million. The program seeks to address the root causes of youth crime, whilst diverting young people away from the criminal justice system and towards contributing to their communities.

Eligible activities include:

• Awareness campaigns and programs to prevent criminal and anti-social behaviours.
• Healthy decision making to foster positive connections to community.
• Workforce preparation and vocational skills development.
• Youth justice conferencing.
