The Albanese Government is delivering new facilities for Frank Dando Sports Academy in Ashwood.
Students and teachers will soon see the construction of a new school building including a learning area, seminar space, administration area and lift.
Dr Garland said this work will receive funding from the Capital Grants Program of $2,400,000.
“The Albanese Government is delivering funding for Frank Dando Sports Academy to upgrade infrastructure and equipment,” Dr Garland said.
“This announcement will fund upgrades such as new classrooms and a new admin area for Frank Dando Sports Academy’s students.”
“This funding will allow Frank Dando Sports Academy to improve learning environments and boost educational outcomes for their students.”
Dr Garland said the new facilities will benefit the students currently at Frank Dando Sports Academy, as well as the many students who will follow in future years.
“The teachers, staff and students at Frank Dando Sports Academy have built a strong school community and these new facilities will strengthen our local educational opportunities,” Dr Garland said.
“I congratulate Frank Dando Sports Academy on their successful grant application and look forward to seeing the positive impact these new facilities will have on the school community.”
